family mediation

Mediation is a process in which two (or more) people meet with an impartial third person who helps them reach decisions, by negotiation. Our mediators are experienced solicitors are trained to help people resolve disputes. One of us will meet with you and the other person together and will identify those issues you can’t agree on and help you to try and reach agreement. We are neutral and will not take sides in any dispute. We are not advisors and will not give legal advice on your individual position to either of you - you will always be free to obtain legal advice alongside the mediation process, and indeed we will recommend that you do so.

Above all, we as mediators have no authority to make any decisions on your behalf – that is all down to you.
