Helen Savage

Helen started her working life in 1997 as a family solicitor at Stephenson Harwood in London dealing with complex high value financial matters, often with an international element.  She was subsequently Partner and Head of Matrimonial at Bolitho Way Solicitors, Portsmouth dealing with all areas of family law.

After a career break and before returning to the law and developing her mediation practice Helen also qualified as an Incredible Years practitioner, and delivers the Prepare Enrich course.

Helen is also the Chief Executive of the Southampton Community Family Trust, a local charity which promotes healthy relationships.  Helen delivers marriage preparation to groups and individuals, mentors couples in difficulty, facilitates Incredible Years and Positive Parenting courses and has designed and delivered FAB (Feelings Affect Behaviour) and Make the Most of your Relationships, which is designed for mums with post-natal depression.

She has developed the Changing Lives Now programme which we have successfully run since December 2013, and ran the bid for funding.  The aim of the course is to reduce the risk of negative outcomes for children of separated parents.

Helen is a member of Resolution, an accredited Family Mediator (Resolution) and a specialist in Child Consultation in mediation.

Away from the office Helen lives with her husband and sons and their cat.  She is a member of Southampton running club and plays squash.
